Climate change has become a global humanitarian crisis. On one hand, climate change has caused those who rely on the natural environment to lose their means of livelihoods, even forcing the farmers to migrate; on the other hand, extreme weather has significantly increased the frequency and severity of natural disasters.
Immersive Experiential Theatre: "2030·Climate Act" is based on the real-life experiences of Red Cross frontline humanitarian workers. It allows students to personally experience the impacts of climate change from the perspective of a climate migrant, aiming to foster empathy among them regarding the international climate crisis, broaden their international perspectives, and ultimately inspire greater motivation for humanitarian actions to create a sustainable future.
This theatre experience will help them understand that the climate crisis is imminent, and everyone can offer assistance regardless of their background. Furthermore, everyone can take humanitarian actions to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 13: "Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts," thereby mitigating risks.
